Happy 1 year Anniversay, Jamey and Tiger

Actually, this is almost two months late….

September 11th marks a different Anniversary for Stiggy’s Dog’s; the Deployment of Jamey Johnson and Tiger. The significance of this pairing changed not only the course of their lives, but the direction of Stiggy’s Dog as well.

As I sit here and reflect, tears well up in my eyes. This is partly why this post is so late. Finding the right words to explain my emotions, seem lost. I will try my best to explain….

Jon and Zoltan

Courage; The quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear.

Destiny: the predetermined, usually inevitable or irresistible, course of event

Meet Air Force Veteran Jon. Who with determination and faith drove over 1,500 miles and through 8 states to meet his Service Dog, Zoltan. Trust, Determination, Patience and Success

This makes me smile so Big!
We have been trying to teach Zoltan to run on the treadmill for the past three weeks. He was very intimidated by it, but equally interested in it. Donna and I knew it would only be a matter of time, and Zol would be running at full speed. But we needed to do this before he left with his Veteran, Jon Bott.
It seems Jon was the missing piece. Zoltan and Jon have bonded fast and hard. They have accomplished many trust building exercises in the past four days together, but this so far has been the ultimate accomplishment…
Watch and Enjoy….

P.S. If you live around the Colorado Springs area… it looks like were going to be looking for a donated treadmill for these two!!! :)

Dog training at the Park….

I am not sure who had more fun…. the dogs? The Veterans? the kids? or the adults?

Doesn’t matter…what a GREAT afternoon it was!

Enjoy!
