Miss Bella Zen

Thank you Bella for the best 4 hours that I have had in a LONG time. I cant remember when I have felt so calm and relaxed. You are an amazing dog…..you are Zen.
I spent my first time alone with Bella. I met Jen at her house on her lunch break to pick Bella up for the afternoon. Upon walking to the door I could hear the sound of tail tapping, getting louder and faster as I walked in. Bella was still in her crate, Jen had not let her out yet so I could see her routine. Bella was so excited, not only cause Jen was home, but I was there too. We talked for a bit, ignoring Bella, until she calmed down, which wasn’t long at all. Although you could still hear the soft ‘swoosh’ of her excited tail as she tried hard to hold in her excitement.
I was anxious to have Bella all for myself. Bella gave one look back over her shoulder at Jen before she got ‘up’ in my car. Bella separation anxiety was already dissipating. We drove with the windows down on the most beautiful fall afternoon. Bella had her nose, and half her body out the window, enjoying the ride as much as myself. We went to the park, we trained together, we walked around the neighborhood, went to an Elementary School when they were getting out, we played on a playground and laid in the grass together. We were connected, I was relaxed and balanced.
When I was driving her back home, I looked in the back seat, Bella’s beautiful orange eyes glowing in the sunshine, and for a second, I thought of running away, just Bella and I……
