Stella on a treadmill!

We are amazed and excited to report that Stella is doing just stellar in her training process. The training process is a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week responsibility. Foster mom Jennifer has approached this with such passion, that she is the motivator for Stella’s fast learning. (Donna and I said yesterday that we wish we could clone her!)

Jennifer asked me if she could start treadmill training, it seemed Stella was very interested and comfortable with it. The next she called to say Stella walked for 5 minutes.  On the first try!  This video was sent the next day.

Below are some emails from Jennifer about Stella:

“I think Stella has pretty much explored everything here ad nauseum, so tomorrow she will probably start to settle in..”

Breakfast for the dogs went really well!!! I decided to go ahead and feed them all together in the laundry room, Stella last. It was sooo hard for her, I could tell, but she did really well waiting her turn with only a couple of “nopes” without any leash correction. What a good girl!!!!! Then, since Stella eats so incredibly fast (lol), I was able to sneak in some lovins with her while the so jealous Shelby and Molly were still eating! What a sweetheart!

“This morning we practiced “take it”, and this is the first time that Stella sat there so sweetly, looked up at me, and took her treat so gently (instead of trying to eat my hand up like she was doing last night)! I’m so proud of her! What a smart girl, and what an amazingly great way to start the day with my pack”

“I can’t believe how smart she is! With only a few  ‘nopes’  Stella sat with my pack in the living room while I ate my breakfast. I can’t believe it! You could tell she wanted to come to me sooooooo bad, and she didn’t!”
